The PaceSaver Espree
Like many of the scooters in the PaceSaver lineup, the PaceSaver Espree comes in three different models: the Premier, the Atlas, and the Titan. What these three have in common is the basic design, while the abilities of each one vary from model to model. All three feature posi-lock electronic brakes systems and all three have a battery life of twenty to thirty miles, though the larger scooters will take a little more electricity to charge.
Espree Premier
The Espree Premier is the basic, standard model in the Espree line. The Premier is capable of tighter turns thanks to its smaller size, and is more easily transported thanks to its lighter weight requiring a less heavy duty lift. Like many of the Premier models offered by PaceSaver, the Espree Premier is offered with either nine or ten inch wheels. The nine inch wheels are more maneuverable, while the ten inch wheels provide better traction and more shock absorbency. The maximum weight is three hundred pounds and the top speed is just over 4 MPH with the nine inch wheels, and just over 5 MPH with the ten inch wheels.
Espree Atlas
Capable of handling up to three hundred and fifty pounds, the Espree Atlas is a little more durable than the Premier model Espree. With larger wheels, heavier suspension and a slightly larger body, the Atlas is better at absorbing the shocks and bumps of the road. The Atlas is more capable of traversing varied terrain and climbing somewhat steep inclines. The top speed of the Atlas is about five and a half miles per hour.
Espree Titan
Capable of handling up to four hundred and fifty pounds, the Titan is the real heavy duty model in the lineup. Like the Atlas, the Titan has a top speed of about five and a half miles per hour, but thanks to its size, is the most versatile and comfortable of the PaceSaver Espree lineup. With more horsepower than the Premier and heavy duty transaxle, the Titan is capable of climbing steep inclines and going right over rocks, dirt, grass and somewhat bumpy roads as easily as traversing waxed marble floors. Definitely the scooter of choice for bariatrics patients or those of us who are simply built with a larger body type than your average person.
