We are all born with different body types and we all have different needs. Many of us are simply a foot or two taller than your average person, or have larger bodies in general. Maneuverability, however, is the main downside. It shouldn’t be too much of a hassle, but if you intend to use a four wheeler indoors, you’ll have to learn how to make three point turns so as to get around your home comfortably, whereas a three wheeler can usually do full circles even in tight bathrooms and kitchens. Another downside is that larger scooters will require more power to continue operating. The battery packs found in four wheel models are generally built with the greater need in mind, but they will take longer to charge, and this will mean a bit of a difference in your power bill. Of course, if you absolutely need a four wheeler, neither of these setbacks should change your mind.

When deciding between 3 or 4 wheel mobility scooters, keep your own personal needs in mind. Check some reader reviews, but remember that you need to find what’s right for you, as there’s no such thing as a scooter or chair that’s perfect for everyone.
